Productions MainStage Production Manual: Schedules Deadlines Technical Schedule See rehearsal guidelines for scheduled rehearsal time onstage/on set before technical rehearsals. The School of Theatre and Film must weigh the benefit of holding rehearsals onstage and on set against the necessary time to construct, load in and assemble the set. Time and labor considerations may preclude rehearsals onstage or on set in addition to those scheduled in the master production calendar. The technical rehearsal schedule for a production is determined prior to the beginning of the academic year. There is very little room for changes in the technical rehearsal schedule. There is also very little room for adding time to the technical rehearsal schedule. The Director, Designers, and Stage Management should plan ahead, flagging potential problem areas, and either allowing for extra time for technically complex work in advance or agreeing to reduce the complexity of the work to fit the time allotted to achieve it.
