Productions MainStage Production Manual: Introduction You are reading this manual as a student, faculty, staff, or guest of the Arizona State University Herberger College of Fine Arts School of Theatre and Film. This manual contains the guidelines the School of Theatre and Film expects you to follow while working on a Mainstage production of the School of Theatre and Film. Since the School of Theatre and Film seeks to constantly move forward, artistically and administratively, so should this manual constantly move forward, revising to suit the evolving nature of theatrical productions in the School of Theatre and Film. If, during the course of working on a Mainstage production, you find a guideline or procedure that doesn’t seem to work, or a situation that cries out for a procedure that doesn’t seem to exist, or a colleague who seems unwilling or unable to adhere to the guidelines written here, tell the Production Manager. The School of Theatre and Film will review and amend this manual whenever, and as often as, necessary. You are not just a passive recipient of these guidelines. Your working with, and within, these guidelines, and reporting back on their efficacy, makes you an editor of this manual, and the School of Theatre and Film cannot keep this manual current, relevant, and comprehensive without your help. Break a leg!
