MainStage Theatre presents a series of plays each year. 

Our Operating Principles

• We link production to curriculum and curriculum to production.
• Our productions contribute to the cultural life of the university, community and region and in doing so, move the art of the theatre into the future.
• We balance a diverse group of titles that provides study examples for both graduate scholarship and undergraduate general interest, as well as a mixture of styles and modes of performance to broaden your production experience.
• We bring to campus nationally and internationally recognized guest artists and scholars to enhance existing faculty and staff.
• We link productions to other campus departments and regional communities to engage specific audiences.
• We provide opportunities for you and our faculty to experience research and creative activity.
• We balance large and small productions in both of our theatres.
• We engage teaching faculty and production staff in play the selection process.
