Performance in the Borderlands: Fall 2005

Under the auspices of the Performance in the Borderlands Project at Arizona State University, this series features lectures, workshops, performances and public discussions with artists, critics and scholars focused on the performing arts of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands region and beyond.

Colleague-Critic: Performance and Queer Collegiality

In this team presentation, Paul Bonin-Rodriguez, Jaclyn Prior and Dr. Jill Dolan from the University of Texas at Austin explore the potential for collaboration between artists and scholars in contemporary performance and practice.

Inside/Out in the Cultural Borderlands: The Challenges of Performance Ethnography

From music to culinary cultures, this public colloquium addresses the cultural practices in Mérida, Mexico and features “Musical Performance, Regional Identity and the Academic Lens: Studying Trova Music in Yucatan” and “Food, Cooking and the Performance Identity of Yucatan, Mexico.”
